4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very enjoyable drink. The 8.5% is very subtle and not present. A crisp golden reflection makes for a pleasant pour. I loved the faint citrus taste. The finish is a clean earthy grass taste. Similar to The Bruery Mischief. Very pleased!

Big fluffy head out of bottle pour. Smells sweet, bready. Taste is strong grapefruit with the grapefruit bitterness aftertaste. Fairly good, better as it warmed in the glass.

Very balanced, though not without a yeasty funk you won't forget. Crisp but unfiltered, reviving but not gentle. An amazing beer!

Mmm. Good beer. Had to give it a high appearance mark on the head alone. ..frothy and long-lasting. Nice light-golden color. Strong grapefruit aroma, tastes fruity and floral, doesnít taste like a 8% abv.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Way too hoppy to be a real saison, but somehow it just makes it better. The flagship of a great brewery.

Bottle. Golden yellow pour with tan head. Light wheat and yeast aromas. Light sweetness, spice and wheat tones. Wouldnít have realized the ABV without knowing it.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pour into awesome Belgian glass from Brussels. Beautiful color like a darker orange/golden. Impressive head that holds up as the beer is consumed. Lacing to make a fancy dinner setting jealous. Good balance of hops and sweet with some citrus notes. Maintains a consistent complex flavor throughout with the only minor complaint being a slight funk aftertaste. All in all a great beer and another stellar option from a really good brewery.

750ml bottle -
A really excellent beer and enjoyable enough to watch my Raiders beat-up on the Chargers. Aroma has a nice balance between hops and malts, lots of funky/spicy notes to keep my nose interested in smelling it. Flavor is malty, sweet, tart, citrusy with a surprisingly long finish. Really nice buy.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Damn good beer, tho itís pushing the envelope a bit. Bottle opened with a big pop at a good temperature and poured with a huge, foamy, frothy, fluffy, cream-colored head that lasts a very long time and some lace. Color is very slightly hazy yellow amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is dominated by lovely fresh hop, citrus, a bit of resin. Flavorís much like nose with again hop in front backed with some malt sweet and some bitter. Traditional saison characteristics have been supplanted by the hop domination. Body/carbonation are excellent. Finish is like flavor, hop strength carries thru for a very long time and only a little alcohol warmth. Great drinking beer. Wish we could get it locally.
