Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Pours a nice stray colored yellow. Notes are spicy with peppery, citrus, hay, and earth notes. Taste is of spices, nicely toned bitter hopes for a little kick, wheat and alcohol notes. Nice solid beer.

22oz draft at Smoke Bones Albany NY - poured pale orange with a thick white head that dissipated quickly - smelled like a traditional Belgian farmhouse ale - taste was spicy hoppy citrusy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visual: Slow gusher. Pours cloudy marmalade orange with a largish foamy head, sticky lacing, 3mm retention, clusters of fast active streams.

Nose: very fruity muscat-banana wheat malt. (lvl-7)-pungency

Attack: lively-fizzy-tingly crisp-airy

Mid-palate: background alcoholic, soapy banana wheat malt, (lvl-5-sweetness), lemony grain alcohol

Finish: yeasty gag reflex, boozy, lingering wheat malt.

Summary: The initial first sips are bold and explosive with big banana wheat malt flavour and a huge fizz-foamy carbonation. Subsequent sips reveal a coarse alcoholic body that persists until the finish. Okay banana wheat malt flavour but too soapy and astringent to fully enjoy. Good appearance and nose but falls flat in balance.

A hazy yellow body with a well lasting frothy white head. Lovely sweet nose with notes of funky yeast, spices, barnyard and banana. Taste is melkow with a pleasant dry, lingering finish. Soft carbonation and light palate with some warmth. Excellently made beer with incredible aroma and drinkability.

Odeur classique de saison: fumier... Trouble et fort carbonnée. Asser légère en bouche et le gout typique de la saison arrive en arrière-goût. Agréable pour une saison.

Corn field under the sun aroma. Soft feeling and gentle alcohol considering the 8.5 ABV. Nice saison.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a tulip. Cloudy gold with a white head that laces the glass. Very fruity aroma with pronounced lemon notes. Fizzy, medium body, bitter and a bit off-tasting. Long unpleasant finish.

A very nice IPA! I paid quite a lot for this one, 4?80 actually for a 33cl bottle, hoping for something great seeing the average rating here. It delivered well, a very pleasant and refreshing beer, true to IPA standards. I’d be lying saying it was incredible, for that price I was expecting even more but i can’t say anything bad about it. IPA are usually not my favorite beers to begin with so me enjoying it that much means a lot. A really cool drink, more oriented for IPA lovers or people searching for something refreshing, while being easy to drink and having a nice alcohol level. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!
