4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
The beer was picked as a part of the 4 bottle sampler pack with sweet tulip glass packed in, which I used for this review. The beer looked very hazy in the glass, with a three finger thick head, and a golden body. The smell deviated from the Saison mold quite a bit due to the use of grapefruit like American hops. There was some bubblegum in the nose, which I suspect was the yeast. The taste was expertly balanced between bold and delicate flavors,. There was a noticeable use of citric hops, and a peppery spiciness. But there was also a floral character, and some orange peel, and banana notes. The mouthfeel was airy, and light, with a creamy carbonation. This was one of the best American interpretation of a Saison,, I’ve had in a while.

Mildly fizzy on the tongue. Pours a beautiful golden yellow, with a thick white head. It’s an amazingly clean and crisp Saison. Even though it’s 8.5%, it’s not overburdened with a high alcohol flavor.

One of my favorite saisons! The wife and I have both voted and the consensus was unanimous that this is the perfect beer with a fancy $10 burger. I get hops, citrus and funk which is my trifecta of perfection in a farmhouse style saison.

Bottle. Hazy, pale golden with a good white head. Spicy fruit nose, hints of coriander. Lemony flavours, a bit acidic, also quite bitter. Dry finish. Interesting.

Ideal Saison. Not too funky, but certainly has that farmhouse flavor and aroma to it that makes this unique yet enjoyable. Smooth, flavorful, not too sweet. Good to drink with just about anything.

7!!! Off patrol. Wins every time. I think of a good saison. I think of this. Put more stuff in that tank. It might be my favorite tank in the whole brewery. I would like to get that tanks number. 7!!!

Bottle: Muddled sunshine yellow body with amber tints & a huge, foamy white head that piles up nice & high. Aroma is a Belgian yeast bomb... Bubblegum, white pepper spice, wet cotton, spicy fruit esters, mushy banana, & a little bit of pear skin. Clumpy, almost bread-like yeast & malty notes in the back-end. Taste is similar, with sharp yeast esters up front, banana & pear mostly with a slight earthiness. Light peppery spice, sweet bubblegum notes, some dry straw & hay hitting with a tiny bit of cotton funk. Spicy Belgian yeast, all day. Chunky, chewy body, very nice... A pretty good farmhouse ale. I’m not always a fan of the yeast bombs but this was never too spicy or too heavy.

On draft in a tulip. Pours a cloudy amber. Smells of Belgian yeast and toasty, biscuity malt. Excellent mouthfeel. Toffee and toasty malt with great Belgian flavors. Great saison.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy gold with soft white head (on tap). Head dissipates fairly quickly, but doesn’t go completely away. Aroma of hops, spice, and wheat. Taste - citrus, resin hop immediately then followed by spiciness of yeast on finish. Really nice.

Pours a nice orangey golden color with a pillowy thick white foam that rocks hard ! The nose is full of fieldgrass, hay some mellow lemongrass, citrus and light peppery spice. The palate follows with a light refreshing body but a ton of flavor. Great dusty hay, grass, floral honey, dandelion and a brightness of fruit well integrated into the beer. Beautiful rustic finish, dry peppery and a nice hint of bitterness ! Great Beer !
