COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Not a big Belgian Ale fan, but I enjoyed this beer. Various fruit flavors along with hay and grass. Strong but not over powering.

355ml bottle from LCBO @ Laird, Toronto, ON. 8.5% alc/vol. Pours a somewhat hazy deep gold colour with two finger of white head. Aroma of caramel, banana and a whiff of fruity aromatics. Taste matches the aroma which leads to a dry & hoppy finish. Moderate carbonation. High level of alcohol is concealed well.

330 ml bottle at home. Pours clear yellow. Light funk aromaand peppery saison, one of the few American saisons that come close to the typical Belgian Original aroma profile - makes one think of a mixture of Supont with Tripel Karmeliet, so yes a bit too much on the cloves and curacao spice side for me. Medium body, sweet, soft bitter, nice carbonation. Sweet grapefruit flacours, spicy finish. Quite nice.

Golden with large head. Nice fruity hop nose, not sour as a saison can be. Reminds more of a light IPA.

It pours hazy gold with ochre tinges; the head is off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: grapefruit, orange-zest, and alcohol. The taste is medium bitter; there are notes of: grapefruit, orange, pepper, alcohol, and plums. The palate is medium bodied, has medium-heavy carbonation and a medium finish. Overall, it’s pretty boozy for a saison.

Light golden and hazy with a white head. Nose if a real farmhouse, stinky but also fruity and grapefruity. Taste is bitter. Palate is a great variety of summer tastes, aromas, flavours and smells. Coriander and Belgian yeasts as well. Dry and spicy aftertaste. B@H

Had at numerous locations here in kc. This has been my favorite one so far. Great barnyard flavors.

4 pack from the LCBO. One of the prettiest beers I’ve seen pour into the glass, all long legs of golden honey & a thick platinum blonde cap on the top. Bready yeast, baseball card bubble gum, grapefruit candy, balanced spicing & a strong hop presence on the tongue. A crisp, dry finish. It’s the summer of the saison -- at least in my neck of the woods -- & this is an epic beer, perhaps the best saison I’ve had this year. Going back to buy more of these before you do. Fantastic beer.
