As you would expect this is a beer that has some serious body. dont talk back to this beer it will hurt you. Great beer. Everything you would expect from a Quadrupel.

Very potent (over 10% alcohol content) but a very good beer. Its a stronger beer that doesn’t taste like a stronger beer. Good ale taste with hint of fruit (fig and date)

Favorite beer ever. Patterned after Westvleteren (and others) it has an aggressive carbonation to help the ABV seem a bit more tame. Belgian sugars help with a spice/plum/malt/raisin deliciousness that simply can’ be beat. You’re supposed to share this bottle with friends, but once the devil looks in my eyes, I end up drinking the whole thing. It’s a gorgeous beer. Serve it in a wide-mouthed trappist glass and you’ll be happy until, in the sixth glass...

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2009 malty/alcohol aroma on the nose. golden brown pour and an off white head that just barely manages to hang on. delightful sweetness on the palate, and not too strong of an alcohol taste on the palate. great smooth mouthfeel.

Large beer with caramel, bread, dough, malty and low hoppyness. Head is extreme when poured and takes a while to settle down.

Wow, wow, wow! If you haven’t tried this one, and you are a fan of flavorful beers, buy it today! A little on the expensive side, but is well worth it for 750mL (only way to get it). At 10.5% ABV, you won’t need much more than one bottle! ;-)

Poured into a pint glass this beer is a hazy dark amber gold. The tan bubbly creamy head head builds about two fingers high. It dissipates fast and leaves no lacing.The nose is malt, fruit like fig, prune and date, caramel and booze.The amazing taste starts with the fruit bouquet of prune, fig and date, maybe some raisin. Bread and dough flavors and caramel are in the middle. The malt and hop balance is remarkable. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overpowering in the taste.

Murky brown with a nice light-brown head with excellent retention. Aroma is musty, full of dried, candied fruit notes such as plum, apricot and dates, caramelly malts and molasses. Alcohol aroma is prevalent, but not overwhelming. Moderately sweet, lightly astringent flavor, loads of cobwebby, dusty fruits, gingerbread, dried plum, and spices (nutmeg, a little cinnamon, allspice). Liquid fruitcake is a pretty good summation. Tingly, moderate-to-high carbonation, which I find perfect for the style. A fantastic beer, easily the best I’ve had in recent memory.

I love a beer that can cellar and be good for up to 10 years!!! This is a great beer...second only to the Almighty Unfiltered Wheat, simply because it can’t do everything BUW can do.

I gave this beer the privilege of my first rating. An amber colored pour with nice lacy tan head. Smells of fruits and nuts with a slight spice undertone. Delicious balance in flavor with the aromas coming into the flavor and masking the rather strong alcohol content well. Slightly carbonated yet still smooth and thick, finishes well and leaves a slight burn of alcohol. An extremely good beer that has kept me coming back. My local boulevard favorite!
