3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2013 [Preliminary batches of this were nice - I now find it too sweet, with some.astrigent hop acids at times - still enjoy in a pinch, but not often] Tap at Falling Rock - turbid gold with a well-sustained head, that leaves lace clinging all the way down the glass as you drink - a bit sweet (apple) and phenolic up front, but it dries out pretty fast - some subtle rustic, earthy, almost funky character to it - some herbal, grassy flavors, even a bit peppery - starts to get even more dry, and even flinty at the end, and through the finish, leaving a crisp, dry feeling on the tongue - a very nice saison, but I would like a little less sweetness up front.

Fantastic saison despite its strength. Drinks damn near too easily for its abv. Interesting and complex yet not too difficult.

Looks great. Aroma of fruits, some peppery yeast and hops. Perfect mouthfeel, taste of fruits, peper, nice hoppy bitterness in the end. Quite complex, layered and very satisfying.

On tap at Main Street bottle shop. Smelling some hay and fruit. Semi cloudy orange gold with a bit of head. Tasting spice, pear, citrus, malt, hops, hay, maybe plum notes. Feel is both sweet and dry. An exceptional beer.

12oz bottle from Beer52.com. A lively clear pale amber pour with lots of carbonation and a billowing cream head; fresh aroma with coriander, orange peel and Belgian yeast; lively in the mouth with a sour grainy taste withan orange and grapefruit bitterness; and a long lingering finish with more orange peel and some warmth. A pleasant saison.

Hazy yellow-orange body, thick white head. Very fruity aroma, white bread, hops and grass. The taste is extremely flowery, like perfume and the finish is loooong.

SAMPLE 50ml at a tasting. Classic spicy peppery saison aroma and flavor, intense and pretty hoppy too. Excellent.

Pours a pale orange yellow, not a lot of head. Nice full flavored ale. Easy drinking.
