2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 kevinator (359) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Meh. Talk about an average beer. The aroma was faint lemon and wheat. I can see why this fell into the Session beer category at the GABF. The yellow unfiltered look appeared like a wheat beer. The palate was light and average. The flavors were subdued and if this is what they were going for then they hit the mark. Lemony and straw flavors. Alcohol non-existent. I’m sure it works with food but not worth a second visit.
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Pith (122) - New York, USA - JUN 12, 2013
Pours light golden yellow, cloudy, high carbonation, particulate, with bubbly white persistent head. Aroma- yeast smells like a hint of pickle juice or sour dough, musty, citrus-sweet lemon. Musty and quiet lemon up front with a carbonation tang, into lemon and a pleasant full sourdough bread that becomes increasingly sour to the end while lemon fades. Not much of an aftertaste, but there is a slight lingering full mouth feel of the bready ending. The aroma turned me off at first, but the taste is more fulfilling and doesn’t come across as off like the aroma does a bit. Overall for a wheat, though it is an ale, the lemon taste is different and interesting, but not my preference. Drinkable. I’ll stick to my Germans though.

16 oz. aluminum bottle. Light gold, hazy pour, with a thin, off-white head. The aroma is wheat, lemons, and biscuit dough. Musty sweetness up front, with a slight citrus bite in the finish. Light body, crisp and acidic mouthfeel, and a nice clean finish. Overall, this is a light, easy-drinking, and crisp beer. Not very complex or flavorful, but worth drinking.

Pours a hazy yellow with a big head that fades quickly. The aroma is the best part of this beer, Lemon grass over a malty sweet body. The flavor is a bit more of the lemon and a peppery hop presence. A bit watery and thin.
