COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Bottle from local Kroger discount beer section. Yeast, very light banana, and some citrus in the nose. Hazy, but glowing, lemon juice color. Initial has some good puckering lemony flavor / mid starts with carb tingle and adds light grainy notes, very juicy / final goes a bit watery, with some astringency. Thin, light body. Okay. Not the tastiest of wheat beers, but quite drinkable.

Hazy yellow/orange pour with clean white head. Nice and bubbly. Smells of wheat and grains with a bit of fruity citrus notes. A pretty clean taste with nice carbonation. A good wheat.

Beer staple from my hometown, gotta love wheat. Solid wheat beer for a solid brewery. Poured moderate, two finger head, a turbid, straw yellow body with a white head. Aroma of malt/wheat, minimal hop presence. Tastes like a wheat, some citrus and a nice bitter finish. Nice and grainy mouthfeel, chewy like lots of wheats. Boulevard is one of the reasons I’m so proud to be from KC.

Faint smell of citrus, lemon. Hint of more tropical fruits, but not very much looks appealing light golden honey and tiny white head that disappears right away. Taste is green bananas and well balanced. Good carbonation makes this a very light, refreshing and drinkable wheet beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The nose has heavy citrus tones, wheat and slight malt. High carbonation with a definite taste of citrus, lemon maybe orange. Not a lot of hop taste. A wheat and malt tone was noted but not overly prevalent. One of the beers that converted me to craft when I was a noob. Good memories but not my thing anymore.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange color with white head. Yeasty, wheat, citrus aromas. Citrus, wheat, yeasty flavors. Having lived in Kansas City for 3 years now, you would have thought that I would have drank my share of Boulevard Wheat, but in reality, I’ve had Blvd Wheat maybe 4 times. It just isn’t that exciting. I’m sure I would have loved this beer when I was 21, but now I look for a little more. With that being said, it still is a really good version of an american wheat.
