COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange color with white head. Yeasty, wheat, citrus aromas. Citrus, wheat, yeasty flavors. Having lived in Kansas City for 3 years now, you would have thought that I would have drank my share of Boulevard Wheat, but in reality, I’ve had Blvd Wheat maybe 4 times. It just isn’t that exciting. I’m sure I would have loved this beer when I was 21, but now I look for a little more. With that being said, it still is a really good version of an american wheat.

Bottle at Bishops Folkis, February 2013. Hazy yellow with a medoim white head. Weak aroma and taste of citrus, some banana, wheat and light notes of fruit. Also some yeast. Boring and a bit stale.

@bishops: lite unken doft. Antagligen allt för gammal. Ingen större smak. Nja... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a hazy golden color with a moderate white head. Nose has a little citrus on it, but not much. Taste is much the same with a hint of citrus in there. Feels very light.

A lot of sweetness in the nose. Let it sit for just the right amount of time and you’ll get banana, caramelized sugar, and even something resembling apple strudel. This beer, of course, is meant to be drunk cold. On the tongue, there are notes of wheat, light fruits, very light hops, and cereal. Light citrus (lemon) lingers. Creamy mouthfeel, adequate carbonation. Good.

Pours a hazy, pale golden-yellow with good-sized head. Fruity and wheat aromas. Flavor is very smooth and sweet--not the sour, fruity esters (banana, etc.) I commonly associate with this style. Smooth finish. Full mouthfeel. This is a good wheat beer.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Best By 12/10/12 so I am a bit beyond that. The pour is pale yellow with a cloudy, milky appearance and a short fizzy head. There are floaties. The aroma has a solid wheat note so much so that I felt like I was standing in a hay field. But then there is this lemon citrus note. The body is light to medium. The taste is more bland than the aroma with pale malts and citrus but a low profile wheatiness.

Bottle from Ølhandleriet, december 6th 2012. Bought on their opening day, expiry date on label is just five days later (december 11th 2012). Strange logistics in that store obviously but I don’t mind having a beer today. Cloudy light golden body, small white vanishing head. Aroma of marzipan and lemonade, a bit acidic, feels kind of synthetic. Body is thin and it’s very lightly carbonated. Taste of banana, a bit white wine, strangely none of the aromas lemonade in the taste. Aftertaste is a bit off, like the white stuff between the orange and it’s peel, but no showstopper. I think it’s an ok beer, no more or less.

Draught in mug. Hazy lemon yellow with decent white head. Aroma is light citrus and bread. Taste is the same with slight yeast and hops. Medi mouthfeel. Not very full or complex but refreshing. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
