Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Bottle at home. Aroma is wheat, cracker, light grass, banana/bubble gum. Flavor is similar with a more pronounced wheat flavor. Sessionable and overall quite nice.

maybe, it was the other beer i’d had prior to this one, ’cause this one, the unfiltered wheat one, disappeared before i could mention the previous. and i ain’t much 1 for wheat brews.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 5/9/2015. Pours hazy/cloudy bright golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness and slight bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle, best by May 9, 2015.
Glass: Sam Adams Perfect Pint.
Appearance: Cloudy straw to golden body with a tall and rocky foamy white head.
Aroma: Aroma has a hint of spice in it with light lemon, rather mild and clean.
Taste: Really mild, crisp with hints of malt sweetness and a dash of lemon and orange. Very mild.
Palate: Light bodied and crisp with sharp carbonation.
Overall: Nothing that excites, but it’s a clean wheat ale that would be refreshing on a hot day.

12 oz bottle poured. A little frustrated, I bought this beer a couple days ago at Total Wine, and now I see it’s about two months past the best by date. Frusterated, yes. Suprised, no. The fact that this claims to be bottle conditioned in huge hold letters on the bottle makes me feel better about rating under these conditions, though I will update this rating if I ever come across a fresh bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with. A ton of foam head. Grainy, grassy wheat aroma. Thick body with some sweet grassy flavor and lemon. Nothing here offends me. Still enjoyable.

12oz of KC goodness. Even better on tap. Add a lemon but fine without. Go Royals!

Old rating. Just okay wheat beer. Normal light citrus in soft bready body. A touch watery. It's fine.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head of foam. Good retention. The aroma has some lemon and cracker notes. A little grassy. Mostly sweet and wheat taste. Light body with a crisp finish. Medium to high carbonation. Pretty easy drinking.
