Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

12 oz bottle. Best by 09/10/05. Hazy straw. Tons of tiny bubbles rise to a nice layer of foam. Mostly grain in the nose. It tastes fine, I guess. Really nothing to get excited about. Has a wheaty/lemony thing going on. I do prefer this beer with a lemon wedge. Soft across the tonge. Subtle bitterness. Best beer to get at Royals games.

12oz bottle, best by 01/17/06. KCís one step above BMC at most places. Served in a weizen glass at ~45į. Color is hazy gold with lots of suspended, tiny particles. The aroma is wheat, hay, grassy hops. Taste is light, with a typical wheat beer flavor and a touch of yeast. There are notes of muted lemon. The beer is slightly sweet with a mild citrus and yeasty/floury finish. Light in flavor, but there is certainly something to this beer.

Hazy gold, decent head. Subtle aroma, a little fruity. Light, fruity, spritzy, slightly spicy flavor. Serves its purpose as a summer quencher pretty well.

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Cloudy pale golden. Papery malt aroma. Sweet and rounded with some grassy hops alongside lemon. Drinkable and well balanced, but not with overly much character.

Generally speaking, I am not a big fan of anything from Boulevard (maybe because Iím from St. Louis -- although I dislike Anheiser-Busch products even more). I think another rater summed this beer up best with "not impressive, but definitely not offensive."

I didnít find anything that seemed to stand out about this beer. It didnít have much of an aroma. Poured a yellowish color and was somewhat cloudy. A hint of wheat in the flavor. Overall though it would be a fine choice for a warm summer day.

This is easily the best wheat beer Iíve ever had. Itís crisp, yet full taste suprises you. It goes down suprisingly easy, and is better out of the bottle (where they actually add a tiny bit of yeast to "encourage maturation". Itís really quite a fantastic beer.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2005 On tap at Hideaway Pizza in Norman, OK. The waiter tipped me off to the last of their batch of Boulevard Wheat, so I had some. Very, very drinkable. Not impressive, but definitely not offensive. The lack of a malty bite made me a very happy man. A great casual beer.

Bottle, with nice yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Turned it upside down to mix in that yeast. I wanted this unfiltered! Poured a cloudy and very pale yellow. Tall, rocky white head. This head was noisy. Earthy citrus aroma. Light citrus and sweet hay flavor, not much wheat flavor. Watery feel with soft carbination. Refreshing summer beer, but lacking something. Thanks to Doppelganger for this one.
