Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

You gotta judge this beer as a wheat beer and not against testosterone-releasing stouts and barleywines. It's flavors are more subtle and fruity so maybe it's politically correct for the metrosexual. This is a straw colored brew with fine carbonation and no head. The aroma is faintly citrus. The palate is dominated by a lemon overtone and subtle hops with a lingering acidity and wheat aftertaste that stalls on the palate. It goes down well when thirsty and excels as a summer brew. Probably my favorite from this brewery. The draft version is a bit less bitter and I would rate higher.

Bottle into a glass. Almost florescent highlighter yellow pour. Aroma is a lot of spice and white bread yeast. Taste has hints of grass and citrus, but is mostly black pepper, white bread, and other spice. Muddled and unbalanced.

Meh. Lot of sediment (I assume yeast since it’s unfiltered). Not bad--I usually don;t care for wheat beer---but certainly not great. Plus, junk floating in it was a bit off putting-even though i know it was fine. Would not purchase again.

Draft at Famous Dave's in Branson. Very cloudy yellow with minimal head. Not a strong aroma. A little citrus. Light and easy drinking. Okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lemony scent, not a hint of hops, mild wheat aroma. Cloudy light yellow color, not particularly appealing. Taste is also lemony but in a floor cleaner way. Watery and has an alka seltzer type of finish. Not a good one from boulevard, who I normally enjoy.

Draft. This is a nice straight forward wheat with nothing super special about it.

Another of my favorite summer time beers even though I drink less of it than I used to due to the amount of quality beers out there

Bottle into a glass. Pours a hazy yellow with a fast dissipating white head. Weak banana aroma. A little on the weak side for a wheat, and a but too sweet, with very little clove.

Hazy yellow color with a huge white head. Aroma and taste both have notes of wheat, lemon, and grass. Thin mouth feel. Overall a pretty good wheat beer.

Taster on tap at iTAP-CWE in STL during RBSG. Almost entirely hazy golden color. Thin off-white head, leaves good thicker lace. Watery bready aroma. Lightly peppery. Light to medium body. Smooth kind of soft lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. Moderate sweet taste. Hints of orange citrus. Light must. OK wheat beer, but this was more basic than I expected it to be.

From a bottle. Pours a hazy, golden-yellow and makes a medium white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is of lemon and a bit of grass and wheat. Tastes of light citrus and wheat. This is a good go-to summer beer. Very drinkable and very light, but with more taste than the foamy suds from the big breweries. Enjoy this on your next cookout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
