30% malted rye = tangy, piquant, edgy. Does it go well with pastrami? You tell us.

Small sample from a bottle left unattended. ;) Clear brown with a small white rim that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is of faint odd hops and rye. Taste is slightly sweet, spicy and grainy/doughy. Some rough edges, it had a weird vegetal finish. Body was kind of light, carbonation too. Not sure if this bottle was in prime condition.

Hazy, dirty, dark amber pour with a 2 finger, creamy beige head and high effervescence. Aroma is slightly tangy fruit and grain, cereal, toast, floral and spicy hops and a hint of caramel. Flavor is toast, floral honey, odd sour grainy notes, a bit of caramel spicy and raw rye grain a little grass and floral hops. Light to medium body with a dry, slightly astringent feel throughout, light, but sharp and blanketing carbonation. Decent overall, but it doesn’t seem to really stand out on anything other than rye, it could use a distinct hop note or malty character. The more I drink the better it gets, but still, it doesn’t really interest me.

This was the better of the two tasting session beers I tried. Well balanced, spicy rye and slightly sweet.

Bottle - good size thick foamy head, beautiful dark amber color, nice earthy hop aroma and flavor with mildly sweet malt, and mild rye spice - very well balanced - I really like this one!

Pretty tasty all in all; nice peppery notes, a touch weak on the finish, but overall a very drinkable beer. I like it; not the best beer I’ve ever put in my mouth but not one that I’d turn down either.

Bottle. Nut brown pour. Head is light brown and dissipates to nothing quick. Slight tang from rye and a decent roast, but a bit watery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a clear brown with a white head. Aroma is a brown malt and not much else. Flavor is definitely a spicy rye but again not much after that. Finish leave more malt on the tongue but everything here is just ok. Nothing to put this in the solid category.

Pours a cloudy amber color with off white head. Aromas of rye bread, grains, and some mild malt. Flavors of doughy, undercooked bread, some mild roast, and even a touch of spice and pepper.
