Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and rye with a bit of underlying earthiness. Flavor is some what dull with light grain, bread and just a hint of rye.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Nice deep murky amber pour with a off white head and good retention. That’s where the excitement stops. Dirty dusty malts, some carbonation but overall just a bit bland. Finishes kind of dry and astringent.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. For some reason I made no notes on appearance, so I’ll score it average. The nose is sweet grains, lightly caramelized. The palate is much the same, maybe a touch of cooked apple. Missing the rye character for the caramel.

12 oz. bottle via in-person STL trade. Pours a mostly clear amber, hazed slightly by some tiny suspended sediment in the glass, with a small off-white head that settles into a film and small ring. Aroma of rye, caramel, tea, toast, grass, a bit of pepper, and sweat. Flavor of rye, toast, caramel, very dry grains, leaves, and wood chips. Light-bodied, with a dry, spicy mouthfeel and moderate to medium carbonation. A little disappointing based on normal Boulevard output.

12/27/13. 12oz courtesy bottle from pepsican! Reddish pour with a nice khaki head that sticks around and laces well. Malty aroma, a little tang and spice, caramel. Malty flavor, earthy and floral, a little spice. Not bad.

bottled, reddish amber in color , nice caramel and metal nose, flavor has some rye and pine but not overly so, nice balance although somewhat softer than expected, nice finish

pours cloudy alomost dirty copper with a small off-white head, little retention. nutty and lightly fruity malts, faint though, spicy and earthy, very herbal and grassy too, almost mineral. moderate carbonation, light body - watery, almost harsh and undesirable spicy-earthy-mineral finish. meh.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light cola brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was rye. The bubbly mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The ok flavor contained notes of rye and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
