finally, a brew from Boulevard that is actually quaffable. nice head and classic citrus aroma. the spice, coriander, fruitiness exists and we get something else here too...mouthfeel, which is lacking in every other boulevard we tasted. finished weak but what else would you expect from a brewery that cuts costs.

"OK! Now this is what I’m talking about! It’s about time a brewery makes a witbier that’s true to style and not just some weak American Wheat watered down grainsack that’s supposed to pass for a Wit. Cloudy, hazey with a full white head. Instant lemon, some spice and orange on the nose. Mouthfeel is creamy no doubt, and super spritzy. Like mouthwash spritzy- no kidding! Taste is super mellow but true from start to finish. Again spice with a hint of tartness in the finish. Nice beer guys!

12oz bottle 4/20/09 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-Pours a hazy cloudy yellow with a dectn size white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma of coriander, spice, wheat, fruit, and some malt. Taste is of the same with the coriander and spices being dominant. This light bodied Wit is pretty tasty but is a bit weak on the back end.

Bottle shared by Crosling. Poured a hazy pale-yellow color with a thin white head that faded to a ring. Aroma of doughy malts, wheat, some spice (coriander and clove), and a moderate fruitiness (orange peel and banana). Light, crisp entry with some lightly tart lemon leads into a crisp wheatiness with undertones of orange peel that finishes with a light spiciness (coriander and light clove) paired with a faint yeastiness. Moderate carbonation and crisp mouthfeel overall, although a touch thin. Decent wit, but the flavor doesn’t follow through on the promise made by the nose. Still easy drinking.

Pros: It has a nice appearance, with an elegant cloudy color. Bottle conditioned. Some nice elements in the nose as well, maybe some pineapple, lemon.

Cons: No depth of flavor. Thin body.

i had wits! wits i tells ya!! .. . stay in the box aL ... . lemon and honey .. .quite light .. simple .. . refreshing .. . pesky .. pretty good but lacking ..

Bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with an average, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain), light hops (grass), heavy yeast (earth, dough) with notes of banana, citrus, and coriander. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a dry finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
