COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard’s summer seasonal is our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier. ZŌN (Flemish for “sun”) combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew. 2009 GABF gold medal winner in Belgian-Style Witbier category.

This is a pretty smooth and nice Belgian wit. Not too wheaty, a touch of orange, quite drinkable. A slightly cloudy yellow.

lightly hazy golden with a small white head ok retention, some light lacing... yeasty medium pungent, spicy herbal coriander, lively, watery, light light body... light spicing, lightly herbal, some mild citrus... i like the lightness and as expected the lightness and drinkability correlates to less flavor and aroma... really good for being so light, but i cant really justify giving it a higher rating...

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Chalice. Appearance: Very cloudy, pale yellow with frothy white head at first but quickly dies down, leaving very little behind. Aroma: Orange peel, clove, coriander and banana. All of the usual Wit players in full form. Taste: Strong mixture of wheat and orange, with light coriander and cloves. Wheat-like aftertaste detracts slightly, as it should end more spicy. Palate: Moderate carbonation, light body, barely dry finish. Overall: Good, refreshing Wit overall that could use a drier and more spicy finish.

Pours a pale hazy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is dominated by citrus...orange, lemon...and has a hint of coriander...very faint yeasty notes of clove and bubblegum. Flavor is mostly citrus...coriander is mostly lost and yeasty notes are totally lost. Mouthfeel is lively but a bit thin and the finish is slightly dry and citrusy. A bit one dimensional.

A very light witbier. Refreshing with flavors of citrus and lemon. A bready/ yeasty finish. I had this beer a little out of season and would think it would fit perfectly in the heat of the summer.

I’m not really a big Witbier drinker. I’ve had a few examples but it just doesn’t really do it for me. I have to admit that I enjoyed this brew. It’s simple and easy to drink. And something a little different than my usual fare. Slightly spicy, yet light overall. I’ll probably drink it again.

Bottle, shared with my wife (it’s her favourite style). Very hazy bright lemony yellow with a generous pillowy white head that retains really well. Aroma is wheaty and spicy, underlying orange. Zippy citrus and wheat flavor, lovely spice, and a nice tartness in the finish that really refreshes. After having tried a few duds from this brewer I finally found one that’s praiseworthy! Tasty.

Bottle @ home. Beautiful, cloudy yellow appearance with a creamy, pearl white head that sticks around for a while. Pretty strong, unmalted wheat, yeasty, citrusy nose. A little tangy, light bodied, sweet wheat malty, quite yeasty, mildly citrusy flavor. Yeasty, citrusy aftertaste. Not super special but solid.
