COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard’s summer seasonal is our interpretation of a classic Belgian witbier. ZŌN (Flemish for “sun”) combines the subtle flavors of coriander and orange peel with other traditional ingredients to create a delightful, refreshing summertime brew. 2009 GABF gold medal winner in Belgian-Style Witbier category.

Pours a pale yellow color with a medium sized puffy white head. Nose is sour yeasty and citrus. Taste is mild creamy and lactic. Actually a pretty good effort. Refreshing.

Poured pale yellow with little or no head. Aroma - Yeast and citrus. Lemony citrus taste with a touch of spice. A bit thin. Nothing special here.

Birght golden. Belgian spice, sheat and citrus. Well balanced and highly drinkable summer brew. Solid.

I was surprised by this beer. I was thinking it might end up being a pretty generic Belgian Style Wit, but it was a little better than that. The look was a pale yellow, with just a little head that quickly went away. The taste and smell is of lemon and other citrus, but not overpowering. It is light and refreshing, but still has a nice bit of flavor. Not a bad Belgian style Wit. It could have a little more kick to it, but it is still good.

Bottle. Identical appearance to Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat- bright yellow, fast bubbles raise a temporary, soda-fizzy head. Very faint bready, banana, and yeasty/cantaloupe aromas. Extremely mild flavor features orangey baby aspirin and coriander, and peppery/minerally phenols. The palate: Light, thin, oily, flabby. Overall, a devastatingly dull beer, in no way offensive but really bland and unfulfilling.

Pours with a foamy, white head that fizzes away, leaving behind a hazy yellow body. Aroma of spices, sweet wheat, orange peel and coriander. Taste is dryish and a touch watery with coriander and orange peel. A bit on the fizzy side of things carbonation wise.

Butters (2841) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 9, 2008
Certainly better than their unfiltered wheat offering. About the same in appearance but a little paler and without any head. Aroma is banana and clove. Vanilla and pepper appear in the flavor. Medium thin mouthfeel, and a not-unpleasant semi-tart finish.

Cloudy straw with a white head. Coriander and citrus aroma notes, grassy flavor with a dry finish. Not bad at all.
