2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Dansting (222) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - JUN 16, 2004
I love Boulevard, but I do not like this beer at all. Has an unpleasant aroma and aftertaste. Another beer that pubs often serve with lemon, which I don’t particularly like. Worst (by far) of all Boulevard beers.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Pershing (295) - Garland, Texas, USA - AUG 29, 2008
Cloudy yellow with a small head. Citrisy taste that almost reminded me of a lemon fruit drink. Slightly tart with a mild spice aroma.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 RobertDale (970) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUL 5, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of coriander and citrus. Tastes identical to the aroma. Too much coriander for me. Wife enjoyed it.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 gururyan (363) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 1, 2010
Pours a hazy light yellow from bottle. Not much aroma, not much taste, pretty watery. Not impressed.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 MissouriBrent (122) - Missouri, USA - AUG 28, 2010
Orange and spice aroma. Good cloudy orange color typical for wits, head disappears quickly leaving nothing behind. Flavor is slightly sour and not what I expect or enjoy from wits. Not enjoying the aftertaste. All in all this is probably the least enjoyable wit I’ve had.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 7, 2007
Bottle... Hazy, barely straw-colored ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is both extremely estery and phenolic or they’ve spiced the high hell out of this one. Seems like a light dose of liquid smoke was also thrown into the mix. The flavor is much the same with delicate notes of barely-kilned grains. Light-bodied and thin with medium carbonation. Finishes watery and spicy. It tastes like a "kit beer" to me. However, in all fairness, I’m totally repulsed by any semblance of spice in a beer. It’s just not my thing.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 lb4lb (2026) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 15, 2007
Cloudy, yellow, small white head with a musty yeast smell. Taste is light lemony notes and musty belgian yeast along with some wheat. The smells of these types of beer remind me of trash. So so drinkable beer that I opted to dump and move on to the next rating.
1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 pintsize (1042) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Bottle. Smells like garbage and looks like yeast infection pee. I have been pleasantly surprised by the other Boulevard beers, but this was no treat for me. Taste was drinkable I guess, but not worth trying it again.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 maltdog (587) - Colorado, USA - SEP 17, 2008
Bottle. Identical appearance to Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat- bright yellow, fast bubbles raise a temporary, soda-fizzy head. Very faint bready, banana, and yeasty/cantaloupe aromas. Extremely mild flavor features orangey baby aspirin and coriander, and peppery/minerally phenols. The palate: Light, thin, oily, flabby. Overall, a devastatingly dull beer, in no way offensive but really bland and unfulfilling.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 manolager (18) - Kansas, USA - MAY 15, 2003
I'm a Boulevard fan to the core, but I can't get excited about this one. Give me back the Tenpenny.
