3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (5413) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAY 6, 2009
On tap at Brouwers. Golden, hazy with a thin head. The nose is a mix of doughy biscuit malt and some citrus hops, but it seemed more malty than hoppy to me. Light citrus flavors, some biscuity malts, touch of sweetness, moderate hoppy finish that for a single hop showcase I wished it showcased more of the hop. Really not too much going on here. Not bad though all things considered.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 18, 2009
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Hazy amber, thin to moderate white frothy head, spotty lacing.   Hoppy nose, a little biting, slight earthiness and soil.   Make that a fairly strong earthiness and soil.   Much the same on the tongue.   Nice hoppiness, but could use a little bit more of a malt base.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A little cereal like on the backside.   Meh, much like their IPA, too earthy.   Decent, good hop aspect, but the earthiness and soil aspect dectract a bit for me.   Otherwise its flavorful and big.

Clear light amber with a slight white head. Mild but nice piney hop aromas. Medium body. Decent grapefruit and pine hop bitter flavors with a lightly sweet but weak pale malt base. Easy drinking. Draft@ Uber tavern.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcberko (4065) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 16, 2013
On tap at Boundary Bay, pours a cloudy slightly faded orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of oranges, some tropical fruits, and a touch of biscuity malts. Flavour brings out refreshing citrus notes, a little orange and biscuity malt. Very citrusy and rather dry, with quite a full flavour profile and complexity despite the single hop. Great stuff.

On tap at Naked City: Yellow-orange haze was nice. Light and prickly on the tongue. Fruity notes of orange, grapefruit, and light lemon. Light malt flavors of toast, chalk, powdered caramel (whatever that means), and faint toffee. Decent beer, though Simcoe’s not my favorite hop.

Pours hazy apricot with a lacy white head. Sweet grapefruit and pineapple aroma. Medium body and light carbonation. The same sweet grapefruit and pineapple show up in the taste, with just a bit of toffee to hold them up. This beer is a very nice showcase for the goodness of Amarillo hops.
