japewang (42), USA Jun 30, 2007 On tap at BB. A bit more hoppy than your standard Amber. Reminds of a poor man’s mac and jacks due to hoppiness and citrus notes. Gorgeous color, weak head. I like my ambers less hoppy than this. Almost closer to a pale ale in my mind. Decent, but not BB’s best offering.
anders37 (2819), Malmö, Sweden Oct 1, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours an amber color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy pine needles aroma. Sweet malty hoppy piney flavor. Has a malty hoppy bitter finish with pine needles in the aftertaste. BillKismet (1476), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2008 Great amber color, but no head. Easy fruity hop aroma and amber malts. This is a fantastic PNW style amber with a perfect hop and malt balance. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 17, 2008 Surprise! Honey amberish pour with a small ring of foam. Some toasted caramel and a pretty basic malt background. Dry and bitter in the finish. riversideAK (1755), Shoreline, Washington, USA Mar 14, 2008 On tap at Taphouse Grill. Was called Dry hopped Amber. Poured amber. what a surprise. Nice head and lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and some sweet butter. Flavor is more or less the same with nice forward caramel maltiness, butter, and a pleasant C hop finish. A nice beer. bitbucket (1601), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 21, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours amber with a lacy white head. Not a lot in the nose, but I find some nutty malt and citrus. Medium-light body and light carbonation. Caramel taste with a dry citrus/pine/wood finish.
