3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, - APR 9, 2006
Hazy straw colour. The aroma is strawlike with a hint of citric hop. Light lemony/tangerine flavour with hints of fresh crunchy pale malt and light bitterness. Off-dry finish. Typical of Washington State golden ales - an actual gateway beer instead of a macro clone.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 manuchampions (1163) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 12, 2010
Sample at the brewpub in Bellingham. A bright golden in the glass with thin white head. Aroma is crisp with decent hops. Taste is surprisingly satisfying. There is depth here to the palate, good hop bite, fresh, larger taste than I expected. All in all a great Vienna style lager.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BillKismet (2753) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 31, 2010
Hazy blonde with flimsy head. Faintly hopped nose with some malt twingling. Fresh, clean graininess in the body and crisp hop flavor. Medium-bodied with a citrusy twang. A nice blonde.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Berley31 (230) - New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 13, 2009
A: Poured at Boundary Bay brewpub. Head was small and white, but left at least fair lacing on the glass. Body is quite hazy and a dark yellow/orange color.
S: Aroma is a little weak, but average malts come through in the form of a bread smell, as well as light hops for a nice balance.
T: Malty breadiness, and some buttery diacetyl as well, with a lightly hoppy finish. Not a blow-out Blonde, but still pretty tasty overall, and smooth.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with average carbonation.
D: Extremely easy to drink, a Blonde with some Pacific Northwest character. Hard to be really outstanding in this category, but I think Boundary Bay has done a pretty good job with this one.
