COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong ale or "Winter Warmer" with dark red-brown color and a very rich malty flavor. Dry-hopped lightly with Cascades for a pleasant aroma and slightly spicy hop finish. This big beer is deceptively strong, yet tastes very smooth thanks to extra long cold conditioning.Original Gravity: 1.072

22 oz bottle - ruby brown with off white head; strong and thick malt aromas mixed in with spices and hops; rich and smooth texture that’s not too spicy and comes to a clean finish; decent

Deep dark copper, creamy tan head lasts.Dark roasted malt aroma. Bitter burnt dark malt taste, a soft caramel and toffee sweetness and dark fruitiness emerges as it warms. Moderately hopped, softly carbed, medium bodied. Finishes sweet and bitter. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bomber. Pours dark brown, practically no head. Practically no aroma? Or taste? Astringent bitter finish. Medium body. Warming alcohol finish. May have gotten a bad bottle. Or this cold has completely crushed my sense of smell and taste. Will re-rate next time I find this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle from a local wine shop, out of all places. Nice fluffy off-white head. Slightly hazy with a dark copper brown color. I’m not seeing anything wrong with this beer. There is a strong presence of yeast in the aroma. Slightly spicy banana, raisin, and booze aroma. This is much fruitier than I expected, but it has some great aromas. A lot more nuttiness comes through when I taste the beer. The aforementioned booze flavor, yeast, and raisin come through subtly. Wow, other than the somewhat astringent booze flavor, this beer is quite good. The texture is almost silky. Job well done from a Northern brewer. I’ll have to pay them a visit.
