3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub
Black color, with beige creamy head. Light aroma of cardboard, paper and roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel, smooth, but maybe because of some diacetyl there is also a light milky feeling, so it lands between Dry Stout and Milk Stout; ordinary bitterness.

Draught, at the brewery
St. Paddy’s day must come early in Bellingham! Dark chestnut brown with thick light brown nitro head. Slightly nutty, chocolatey aroma. Slightly watery body. Chocolatey, with a hint of roast. A little bit of nuttiness, vanilla late. Not bad for a nitrobeer.

Draft at the brewery
Deep brown color with a toffee tint at the bottom of the glass. Typical creamy soft and light body, the flavor is a rich and smoky dry stout/malted milk ball flavor. Pasty body, with a smoky, dry finish. A typical weak dry stout, but drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Boundary Bay, pours an amber-tinged deep dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of lightly bitter dry roast, oats and a touch of bitter dry cocoa. Flavour is quite dry and very bitter, with bitter roast and metallic notes dominating. Thin body with a weak flavour profile. Not too inspiring.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the Old Town in Ballard. On nitro, alas...but this beer is big enough to fight through that. Pours jet black and a wee bit chalky looking under a dense and creamy tan brick of nitromousse. Nice roasty nose with mild chocolate notes coming through. Creamy medium body, I mean really creamy silky smooth, with virtually no carb showing. Roasty chocolately mid palate, very rich and approachable and pleasant. Mild roasty finish. Very agreeable. Love to try this on CO2 some time.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nitro tap. Dark brown pour with a thin creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts and a touch of tartness and bitter chocolate. Interesting. Dry and roasty with a nice sour/tart quality that leaves the mouth insanely dry. This is very nice. Light and incredibly smooth. The beer that I had sounds a little different then the ones that others had, as it was not run of the mill at all.
