COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The clean flavors of Perle, Mt. Hood and Cascade hops allow the rich malt character to dominate in this smooth "pale" style.

Nice orange color but no head to speak of. Citrusy and grassy hop aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Orange and grapefruit with minimal malt sweetness. Light fruity hop finish.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours cloudy golden orange with a white head. English malts, muted butterscotch and light English hops on the nose. Flavour of English malts / hops, mild bitterness, with biscuity notes on the finish. Decent.

Draft at the brewpub in Bellingham, WA. Reddish amber body with a small tan head. Somewhat hoppy but not enough, with a good deal of doughy malts. There was an off-flavor I couldn’t place. Not on par with their other offerings.

Bomber to a Czech-pils glass with a hazed, deep orangey amber hue, modest, off white, head foam that quickly reduced to a persistent, bubbly ring and film, and deposited some thin ribbons and spots of lacing on the glass. The aroma started with some short-lived, off sour notes, then caramel, fruit as a combo of orange and apricot, a little citrus, and some malt sweetness. The flavor also presented medium+, earthy hop bitterness, good, biscuity malt content, slight alcohol, and low carbonation, in a medium bodied brew. Nicely quaffable!

Clear medium orange, nice fluffy white head. Toasty, slightly nutty sweet aroma. More of that toast and nut flavor upon sipping, some slight caramel character, moderate bitter resin hop finish.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy amber with a thin smear for head. Slightly dusty floral aroma. Med body with mild but prickly carbonation. Flavor is light roast malt with just a tinge of floral/spice/citrus hop. Almost more of an amber than an ESB. Where have all the hop flowers gone? Finishes just lightly bitter.

Sample at the brewpub in Bellingham. Pours a pale amber colour with thin diminishing cream head. Aroma boasts a slightly spicy hop aroma. Pronounced bitterness fr the style but not unwelcomed. Has a nice bitter finish. Considering it’s not one of my favourite styles it was pretty good.

Sweet caramel aroma, hints of floral and vanilla. Dark amber color, almost red, minimal white head, a bit hazy. Taste starts off with a little bit of sweetness and medium bitterness, but the sweetness increases as you drink it. Sweet, malty finish - medium body, average carbonation. Overall, a pretty good ESB.

Deep amber with a little off white head. Roasty biscuits, citrus fruits and hints of floral hops in the nose. Taste is rich and malty with light floral, spicy hops and a balanced finish. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice.
