3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Verne (261) - Enumclaw, USA - APR 28, 2004
Dark amber, light small bubbled head. Malty nose with a floral note. Malty flavor just a little toasted flavor and a subdued hop bitterness. But still more hops than is typical for the style. Overall a good example of an American version of a Scotch ale

Thanks go out to thethrone for this bottle
I poured it into a snifter and it produced a finger worth of white head that turned to a thick lace. The body was a burgandy brown when held to the light
Nice malty nose touch of dark fruits and a light roasted note filled my head. The flavor followed the nose to a "T" the medium body with good carbonation.
Quite drinkable, nice kick back and relax brew which is what I want right now.
Thanks again Throne

Draft. Poured a storm cloud gray body with hints of amber and a frothy off-white head. Aroma was smokey roast barley, caramel malt, and slightly coniferous. Flavor was again smokey roast barley, sweet caramel malt, and slightly piney. Palate was somewhat weak bodied and finished a little too phenolic. Overall still a good scotch ale.

On tap at Trumpeter Ale House in Mt. Vernon, WA--Poured a thick deep chestnut-brown body with a fluffy beige-tan head. Smokey, malty, gritty, chewy, spicily hopped nose. Rich, sticky, piny, sugary flavor. Complex, great sipping brew. Love BB!

Aroma – Huge scotch ale aroma. Very peaty with a nice hops and malt biscuit aroma.
Appearance – Dark Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor – Very nice scotch ale. Had tons of peaty smokiness with a great hops backing and the malt build was great.
Palate – Great Scottish Mouthfeel, nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very nice beer with a great flavor the spice was grassy and light. A very nicely built beer.
