3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jonno (2001) - JAPAN - APR 28, 2013
Finally an above average beer from BB. Its a well rounded, almost safe DIPA, but it does do it well. No finesse just a nice drinking floral hop forward beer. Does hide 9% well.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Prufrockstar (200) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Bottle picked up during WA brewer open house. Copper amber color, very little head. Aroma big on caramel, pine as well. Slick texture, full body, soft carbonation. Taste starts pretty sweet but gives way quickly to pine/citrus hop bitterness that lingers nicely. Overall: decent double ipa, but can't help but hope for more.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2013
Draught at the brewpub Hazy amber color, with medium sized creamy head. Nice aroma, caramel and hop fruitiness, light sweat. The body is quite good; strong flavor of caramel, some malt, good hops, with provide mild resins in the front, and light fruitiness later; strong but not excessive bitterness. Solid, good, a bit sturdy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (5562) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 22, 2012
In short: An intensely aggressive piney Double IPA
How: Bottle 22oz, relatively fresh a few weeks after purchase. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Clear dark golden body with lots of tiny particles, medium beige head with medium retention
In long: Nose is super-resinous hops, leafy hops essence, it’s piney, it’s fruity, it’s floral, it’s everything. Not the type of fresh hypnotizing type of aroma, this is in-your-face (in-your-nose) intense brutal hops. Taste is just as intensely brutal. Very sweet crunchy toasted malts, crisp caramel, strong alcohol bite, brutal resinous piney bitterness with citrus fruits and floral notes showing up here and there. Alcohol is surprisingly very apparent, or maybe it is the bitterness that is so biting that it felt like there was an alcohol bite. Certainly in my top-5 most over-the-top IPAs ever. I’m a hophead so I enjoyed this beer, but honestly this beer is the triple-decker bacon cheeseburger of IPAs, no class, over-the-top but also very enjoyable for the targeted demographic. Boundary Bay descriptions says “… aggressive fresh hop quality …”, clearly this is a brewer who puts his money where his mouth is, he probably catches a lot of germs.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ferris (490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 10, 2012
Draft - Grapefruit and perfumy aromatics with sweet caramel. Clear amber with a rich long lasting but small head. A sweetish IPA with the bubble gum characteristics and a nice bitterness. Finish has some resin and chalk with some more bitterness to boot. A nice imperial, if the finish were a little smoother it would have been great.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 saxo (11216) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2012
Tap @ Taphouse Grill, Seattle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, straw, caramel, malt, flowers and notes of fruits.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BARLEYWINEO (106) - Tacoma, USA - APR 28, 2012
A: Poured a nice burnt orange color with good carbonation leaving a nice white cap
S: Holy grapefruit, oprange peel and pine needles
T: Immediate warmth and bitterness with a blast of big grapefruit, orange peel with a balance of pine resin and light trpocial fruit. Finish is tangy, bitter and bitter again. A mix of grapefruit acidic bitterness and hop bite sitting on a caramel malt backbone and hints of bread
M: Big body, lots of flavor, low carbonation leaving a rather heavy IIPA
O: Pretty good but the grapefruit and orange peel notes were very much on your face, a little to much.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheSponge (342) - Lynnwood, Washington, USA - APR 21, 2012
22 oz. bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA. Pours a cloudy amber color with an off-white head. Grapefruit peel. Flavor: Same as the aroma. This one is decent, but something seems out of balance.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 CampesinoTino (612) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 20, 2012
Bomber. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a half-inch of sudsy off-white head. Aroma is potently sweet and resiny with lots of ruby red grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine and caramel. The taste has loads of aggressive resiny hops bitterness at the start followed by a healthy serving of grapefruit, tangerine and orange rind. Also some bready malt flavors in the mix in addition to some caramel malt sweetness. The body is thick and syrupy with low carbonation. Finish delivers a mild booze burn with more piney bitterness. This one’s loaded with potent hops flavors and equally flavorful as their regular IPA.
