omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 23, 2006 Updated: Mar 27, 2006Draught at the brewpub. Dark black. Sweet and thick, fruity with raw mouthfeel and notes of licorice. Lots of molasses, corn flakes and unfermentables. Way too sweet. Not good at all. Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jan 16, 2005 Draught, at the brewery

My first impression of the name was "why bother with the oatmeal?" Shows what I know. This really is an imperial oatmeal stout, not an imperial stout. Black in colour. Light, roasty aroma with a hint of chocolate. Full, soft body. A little bit roasty. Mild bitterness. I need more time to adapt to the concept but that’s okay because it’s very good beer. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Date: 10/13/2007
CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 14, 2007 On tap at the 2007 GABF: Pours an oily opaque with a dense, frothy, light brown head. Aroma of some sweet dark chocolate, caramel and raisins. Body starts with a good viscosity and sweet, sticky mouthfeel along with notes of dark fruits, caramel and chocolate. Finishes smooth with a touch of light fruity tartness. A pretty good imperial stout. BückDich (4603), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 22, 2005 Dark oily color with nice tan head & short lacing. Nose of piney & chocolatey with roast & astringency. Taste is a little dry & astringent too. Subtle soy sauce. Finishes balanced, ashy and palmic. hmmmm.
