On tap at BB. Not as dark as you would expect from a stout. Rocky head that disappears before you’re halfway through the pint. Chocolate and espresso. Sweet aftertaste made it easy to put down. Meal in a glass? Hardly. A thinner stout than I like, but its taste is on the plus side if you like a sweeter stout.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a tan head. Has a roasted malty chocoalte and licorice aroma with some hoppy hints. Roasted warming malty bitter chocolate and licorice flavor. Roasted malty chocolate finish wit some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Dark brown with a thin fluffy beige head that eventually left. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate, caramel and some sweet oats. Up front sweet dark malts followed by some caramel and oats to soften it out. Mostly malty and sweet with a touch of alcohol noticable. Rather creamy and pretty nice.

Lovely in its darkness, with just a hint of burgundy shining through around the base, with a small off white ring of foam. Caramel coffee and a mlik chocolate nose. Delicious, although a ta bit on the sweet and rich side, but still extremely creamy and drinkable.

Dark black with thin head. Great take on an oatmeal stout. Manages to come off as a big, chocolately/roasty beer that’s got the smoothness of an oatmeal stout. Melts in your mouth. Love it and wish I could get it on a regular basis in Seattle.

20071027 Tap at Redbones. Black color with strong beige head. Served too cold so a wait was in order. The menu said ’Oak Aged’ Imperial Stout, but I’m guessing this is it. This one has the three V’s - viscous, vinous, and very tasty! Plenty of complimentary notes of resinous hops along with bitter, roasty malts. Wood notes from front to back on the palate, biting, lightly tart. Finishes dry but sticky. Nice. I’m glad I sampled this one before the jerk beef, because my mouth was pretty much numb after that stuff.
