3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle purchased at By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA. Pretty tasty stuff, but the slight diacetyl (sp?) tinge kept growing as the beer warmed and left me with a slippery feeling in my mouth that I don’t enjoy.
The aroma was great and the appearance was clean, bright, and golden, but I had to ding it on the flavor and palate because of the diacetyl.
Next time I’m in Bellingham I’ll certainly try it on tap, but I’ll be hesitant to buy bottles again unless I know they’re fresh.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium orange with a white head. Citrus and malt are the only real thing going on here. On the sweeter, fuller IPA side of the scale. Round, medium thick body. Good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. Honey brown with bone foam. Nose is orange, pineapple, light musk and toffee. Medium body with a buzz finishing resiny. Taste is orange banana, pine and grapefruit peel. Solid for the style. The sweet banana notes draw me in for another sip. I’d love to try the imperial version.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange copper with a modest off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with lots of grapefruit-like hop bitterness. Very thick flavor.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour at Beer Authority. Pours a thick, cloudy copper color with a fading, head. Hop front aroma. Initially sweet malt flavor with a long transition to a bitter hop finish. Maybe a bit too bitter, if your preference is anything like mine. A pretty standard IPA here. Good overall.
