Aromas of toffee, caramel, dark fruit, floral hops. Hazy amber brew with a fluffy lasting tan head. Flavors of caramel and toffee, big maltiness with a touch of tart fruit and a floral peppery bitterness in the finish. Some alcohol, smooth body with decent carbonation.

clean dark amber, not much head at all, but looks great. floral meadow milk caramel nose. smashing barleywine! The body is thinner than others which allows you to experience the waves of each sip. sweet becomes floral hoppy becomes oaky becomes warm becomes caramel sweet finish a only a touch hot. great for a barelywine that may be meant to be enjoyed young as there’s no vintage dating on the bottle.

Sample @ Coles 3rd Annual Barleywine Tasting Buffalo NY. Pours a medium to deep copper color. Sweet aromas of toffee, caramel & brown sugar. Medium creamy body. Smotth while alcohol dances on your tongue a bit. Somwhat buttery. Very good

2003 vintage at Hard Liver 2006. Dark ruby red with a small head. Malty sweet nose of pit fruits. Heavy body- thick mouthfeel. Complex taste with grapes figs, caramel. A very good Barleywine with complex flavors here.

Bomber, picked up at the the brewpub. Pours clear ruddy amber with a thin off-white head. Light vanilla, caramel and smoke aroma. Medium body, light carbonation. Sweet vanilla and brown sugar taste. Dry and somewhat hot finish.

22. Thanks, skoisirius! Pours crystal clear deep ruby with the briefest of tan heads. Caramel and molasses on the nose along with the tiniest hint of smoke. Medium body with nice creamy and velvety overtones. Caramel, molasses, and custard on the mid-palate. Long, hot, boozy, sharp bitter finish. This is young yet, but in a couple of years this’ll likely be quite a lovely little thing.

22 oz 2007 vintage. Carmalized banana nose. Hints of alcohol as well. Sweet malt up front with dark and bitter fruit throughout the body. Hop bitter beauty and much more fruit emerges as the brew warms. Ends of a great blend of sweet and bitter flavors. Alcohol noticeable. Aged, this brew is fantastic as well!

A thin, light beige head recedes to clusters of fat bubbles immediately. A very life-emitting, soft pink glow extends from a murky and deep amber/russet
coloration. The aroma is sherry-imbued caramel with grape intentions. Brown sugar and hints of smoked treacle waft in. Mild hoppiness is stuck behind
the wall of malts that are freely but softly flowing from the glass. The bottle is very fresh, and from the initial impressions and the amount of sherry and
underlying port characteristics, this will be best fresh and is nicely developed and adequately brewery-aged. Plenty of citrusy(apricot and ginger notes)
hops are noticeable with the temperature rising and impart very fresh grapefruit and orange with a soft piney backdrop and earthy fig skins. Alcohol is
well concealed. The flavor is very sweet and lush. Caramel and grapeskin notes rule the landscape here, followed by plenty of bitterness and some
mellow smokiness. The finish is warming, smooth, mildly bitter, with sweet caramel lingering. The mouthfeel is soft and full bodied, succulent. A great
interpretation of the style and an absolute thrill to drink.
