Pours a transparent bright copper with a spotty, thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramely malt has a touch of light fruity esters. Body has some drier alcoholic notes and semi-sweet caramel maltiness toward a warming finish. Needs more sweet malty balance to hide the alcohol better.

Bottled 650ml (PBF, alc. 9.6%)
Nut brown color, small off-white head. Ryeish, caramelly, malty aroma. Full-bodied. Caramel, rye, sherry, some tickling alcohol. Liquerish palate. Probably few years old bottle. Quite nice, a bit Bigfoot-like big American barley wine.

Bottled (thanks after4ever!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, toffee, some alcohol, mild nutty and wooden notes as well. Flavour is ripe fruits, toffee, mild spices as welol as sweet malts and a slight burn of alcoohol.

August maroon-cider body with creamy burnt beige top. Luscious aroma full of medium crystal malts and dollops of fruitiness, punctuated by juicy pineapple bursts. Candi apple body, sweet like ice wine and with a powerful presence of candi malt and overripe fruit character. Wet hoppiness with juicy, fruity, sweet tea finish.

Bomber courtesy of bvc pours clear sparkling deep copper with thin off white head. The aroma has firm muted nearly moldy grapefruit, mild yet assertive citrus hops, pine, a mild level of spicy hops and a touch of floral. The taste has loads of various hops with smooth spicy hops, pine, floral, grapefruit and tangelo. Beneath all those hops is a thin layer of caramel and sweet maltiness. Great balance, great smoothness and a great American Style Barleywine. Thanks Boundary Bay!

22 oz. bottle, pours dark reddish brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma of toffee / treacle, brown sugar, and lots of sweetness. Flavour is massive, full-bodied dark caramel / toffee, brown sugar, and raisins, with a big alcohol kick. A most excellent barley wine.

Pour is a deep murky brown with no head. The nose is caramel, malt, and dry, resinous hops. The taste is a murky, dank caramel malt with a funky hop presence. The palate is medium to heavy thickness with a chewy presence. Decent BW.
