porterdude (170), Bellingham, Washington, USA Aug 25, 2005 Brought back form death! Just released this week. A deep ruby color pour. Some hints of caramel and biscuit malt. Very light hop aroma. A flavor of malts, and slight citrus, which is interesting as this beer is low hopped. A really interesting beer. PorterPounder (2825), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2003 Had on tap at the brewpub in Bellingham - light amber in appearance, a bit of hops in the nose and a slight bit of malt. Nothing really jumps out about the flavor - I see here it is listed as a Scottish Ale - not as rough around the edges as some - a decent brepub ale. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 14, 2003 I think this is a pretty new seasonal, at least I haven't seen it before, but it certainly tastes a little unrefined. Perfect red color, a nice aroma alluding more towards hoppiness than maltiness, a decent malty body and flavor, but the finish is metallic and just too thin. I'd like to see a touch more malt, or even some grains.
