JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 31, 2005 Hazy amber colour with a creamy white head. Aroma is quite earthy and woodsy with a fresh fruity yeast aroma as well. Flavour is well-balanced, earthy hops and light caramel sweetness. Fruity yeasty esters really make this beer. Light hop resin and earthy bitterness. Balanced British-inspired pale ale. beerguy101 (3542), Newark, California, USA Sep 19, 2006 Tasted on tap at brewpub. This American Pale Ale pours an orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and citrus. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. Hops are citrusy and grapefruity. A fairly bitter APA. Nice juicy hoppiness. Lively carbonation. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter. Crit (2258), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Dec 19, 2002 Not one of their better beer. Not exactly bursting with flavor and has very little body. Also has a slightly "off" finish BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 17, 2008 An interesting creation stylistically speaking. Has some good flavors to it, some citrus fruit and orange peels, with enough hop bitterness to keep it interesting, pretty nice balance, could have a little more maltiness. Remains pretty clean throughout and enjoyable to drink. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 16, 2002 I’m not as big a fan of the reefnetter as my Bellingham counterparts but this pale offers something somewhat impressive whenever the season rolls around. This beer’s bitterness is rather smooth; however, it leaves an intrusive taste on the palate that makes it slightly annoying to drink much of. The beer is only average as far as malt balance is concerned and the look and smell is typical Boundary.
