schm1005 (150), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Nov 9, 2002 Such a smooth bitter beer it blows my mind every time. I have bought this fine ale in pints and kegs and the flavor just keeps on flowing. It has a crisp finish and a beautiful hop snap to it that plays with your whole mouth... Best consumed with the company of good friends to the tune of a bluegrass band...Enjoy! herbstress3 (221), Bellingham, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2002 I have searched long and far for a beer that tastes so sweet and so bitter and so delicious. Alas, Boundary Bay! beerguy101 (3542), Newark, California, USA Sep 19, 2006 Tasted on tap at brewpub. This American Pale Ale pours an orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange and citrus. A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. Hops are citrusy and grapefruity. A fairly bitter APA. Nice juicy hoppiness. Lively carbonation. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is bitter. JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 31, 2005 Hazy amber colour with a creamy white head. Aroma is quite earthy and woodsy with a fresh fruity yeast aroma as well. Flavour is well-balanced, earthy hops and light caramel sweetness. Fruity yeasty esters really make this beer. Light hop resin and earthy bitterness. Balanced British-inspired pale ale. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 17, 2008 An interesting creation stylistically speaking. Has some good flavors to it, some citrus fruit and orange peels, with enough hop bitterness to keep it interesting, pretty nice balance, could have a little more maltiness. Remains pretty clean throughout and enjoyable to drink.
