COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When you think of Bavaria you probably picture two things. Beer and theoretical physics. Einstein, who invented science in Munich, was not only a brilliant physicist, he was also a brilliant coincidence. His name happens to be German for "one beer". This Munich lager is just the sort of "Ein Stein" you would enjoy at Oktoberfest. Smooth, crisp and pouring the same large head as its namesake. It’ll satisfy any man in leather shorts.

the story with "stein" on the lable makes no sense. at least not in german. the beer is alright. malt aroma. well-balanced taste.

Bottled. Aroma of biscuity caramel. Full bodied berry hops and a bitter aftertaste. Decent beer

Not a bad beer for the price. While I’d spend the extra for a better brew I’d not be adverse to having another one of these if offered.

Not a resounding success. As a commercial lager this isn’t any head and shoulders above anything else. As a commercial lager it would compete for space in my supermarket shopping basket for space. There is a hop base, there is also a sour note that may remind you of other good lagers, but from a brewer trying to touch many market points with a craft brew for every occasion I think they should stick to a core set and be spectacular. But then it’s a commercial thing, and sell more to more people is the word.

Just like a generic green bottle euro lager slosh except the flavour is a little better and bolder and actually makes it past the front of your tongue, and it comes in a brown bottle. It seems that making a "good" German lager is a bit like polishing a turd. Why bother? Oh, that’s right, millions of people buy it.

Bottled. A golden beer with a huge white head - not right for a Munich Lager. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and grain, leading to a dry cardboardy finish. Nothing like a Munich Lager.

Nice enough beer im sure for the style. Nice combonation of malts and hops. Nothing to out standing, another easily drinkable beverage.

Bright orange in colour with small white head that dissipated quickly. Sweet malt base with mild bitterness. Very much like DB Draught. Mild hop aoma.

This is a pretty nondescript beer. It is not offensive, just boring.

Pours a clear gold, with a big, lasting, white pillowy head. Not a huge amount going on in the aroma stakes, yeast and some lemon. Mouthfeel is medium-light body, clean and smoothly carbonated, with a nice, crisp subtle bitterness balanced by gentle sweet malt and a short, refreshing finish. A decent lager.
