330ml bottle. Deep orange colour with a head that lasted well. Has an earthy burnt caramel aroma. Some good bitterness to balance a bold caramel taste with hints of cocoa.

330ml bottle from The Beer Cellar. All round decent beer from this kiwi brewery. Flavour and aroma are quite big and there is a long finish.

Great value beer with substantial flavour. Caramel colour with decent head. Nice malty base. Letdown for me was the headache I had after drinking four which is what I get with stein lager classic or Stella.

Bronzey orange colour with no head. Big malt aroma. Biscuit malty flavour follows through to mild hop bitterness and slight roast malty taste.

Different from what I expected, from what it says in the label. I was full of chocolate stout when I tried this. The sweetness and astringency, the dark copper colour, the thin body, it all seemed out of place. Deserving of a future re-rate.

horribly astringent bitterness is really all i get from this. maybe iím missing something, but i couldnít get past a few gulps. horrid. bad bottle maybe? i suppose itís a novelty that a mainstream beer is too bitter, heh.

My favorite Boundary Road brew. An excellent beer for the price and a good beer regardless. While I tend to stick with the higher priced real craft beers Iím always happy to have one of these if offered.
