2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
I was a little bit surprised to find this as a separate edition to the standard Hinesty Box Cider. Was I delighted? Not especially. As a cider is is aimed squarely at drinkers who like things sweet. It isn’t cloyingly so but it was still too much for me. Golden in colour with plenty of sparkle and clear. Smells of perfumy apple varieties to the extent that is even smelled slightly artificial. Flavours of the same but it could have been worse.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
440 ml can. Pours a clear straw color with pop like bubbles. Lots of carbonation. Aromas of golden apples and a bit of grass. Soft, sweet apple flavors - like warm carbonated apple juice. Much better local BC stuff to be had.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
See, this is why ciders are so hard to rate. They all taste like apples. Other than Sea Cider which has done interesting stuff with their ciders, I just get the same thing out of ciders every time. Some are more artificial, some are more tart or sweeter, but really it all amounts to apples. So does this taste bad? No. It tastes like apples. The abv is well masked. It doesn’t look like much but it tastes perfectly fine.
