COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oregon Trail Brown Ale has been brewed in the Willamette Valley for nearly a quarter of a century. Five months of aging in Pappy Van Winkle Kentucky bourbon barrels has infused a rustic complexity and velvety mouthfeel to this already outstanding American standard. You may perceive a twinkle of Bourbon rose, and a hint of halcyon times.

22 oz bomber from Market of Choice. Pours a medium brown with a small but persistent beige head. Aroma of moderate bourbon, caramel, and a light bit of chocolate. Flavor is pretty hefty on the bourbon once the beer warms, but it’s not overpowering by any means. Bits of caramel, light chocolate and raisins also float through. Mouthfeel is a little thinner than I would like, but the bourbon kick almost makes up for it. Decent beer, one of the better ones I’ve had from this brewery.
