3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 wlajwl (2911) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Aroma is sweetish malts, mild nuttiness and a hint of honey. The flavor is similar to the aroma. Not bad as a whole but almost too much sweetness, bordering on cloying.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Bozo_skeleton (147) - Grenoble, FRANCE - MAR 27, 2013
Une saveur miel bien trop prononcée. Cela masque tout le reste.
Sans intérêt.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 madmitch76 (9867) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2013
26th November 2011 Light haze on this gold - amber beer. Little white head. Light crispy dry palate. Lagerish malt with an odd perfumey thing going on. Caraway nuttyness. Dry finish with a whisper of hops. All right if a little left field.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2013
330ml bottle thanks to Finn for sharing. Clear copper coloured body. Bubbly white head leaving dotted spots to the glassware. Restrained aroma of earthy, mid-sweet malts. Prominent taste of honey sweetness. Not overly sweet to the ending. Soft and nice (at Finns in Tromsø, 02.01.2013).
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Flaske 0,33l fra Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. Brygg 81. Delt med Rune under rateseanse i H9 2 Jan 13. Gylden. Kritthvitt tett skum med litt lacing. God fyldig fruktaroma. Litt metallisk. Smaken er litt honning & blomster - men det blir mer og mer honning. God - men litt ensformig.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 onkelgobber (132) - Edinburgh, - SEP 24, 2012
33cl bottle at Appellation Wines. Pours golden hazy with a nice white head. Nose has obvious white honey and some baked sweetness . The taste is also lots of honey and also yeast, but somehow it works with the malts. Medium bodied and very drinkable with a nice long finish. A nice variation and shows the quality of good beer making compared to other honey beers.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 AshtonMcCobb (1456) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 17, 2012
33cl bottle. Pours golden, slightly hazy with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has set honey and some cornflakes going on in the background - it’s quite single dimensional but it has great depth. The taste is again one-dimensional with the honey but again it has more depth. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a reasonably clean finish, Overall, decent.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (8247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 15, 2012
A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet malt with chalky notes, honey. In mouth, a sweet musty malt with woody honey notes, clover field, a bit oxidized. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 9 2012.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 JEK69 (360) - FRANCE - MAY 30, 2012
Pours amber with almost no foam. Bubbles are quite strong, you can fill it in mouth that is not velvety.
Aromas are very nice: honey and malt. Palate is a bit sparkling and lacks of smoothiness.
Too light in aftertaste.
