Pours thin. Looks like a typical French amber. Aroma is earthy, some sweet malt. Taste is sweet malt, vanilla, honey. No bitterness. Chestnut comes through towards the end. You have to roll it over the tongue quite a few times. Not bad - my first chestnut beer. Would like to try some more, as I think it’s not a bad combination.

Bottle, bought @ Bierzwerg.de. Clear amber with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma has caramel, nuts, light vegetable. Medium carbonation, kinda watery mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, quite a bit of chestnut, light coriander, a bit earthy. No real bitterness, but some finishing dryness.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with very light head. Aroma of nuts and sweat. Flavor of bitter almonds, hazelnuts, and peanuts with some malty tones. Interesting but not a beer and doesn’t taste like another.

On tap at Delirium. Dark cola body with puffy head. Nose of malts and caramel. Taste is sweet, some anice, sugar, milky. The whole thing a bit twisted.

Draft @ Delirium, Brussels.

330 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear copper colour with tiny white head. Sweetish woody nutty aroma with malt and alcohol (not in bad way). Flavour is dryish malty with sweet nutty chocolate notes. Sweetish nougat chocolatey aftertaste with dryish woody maltiness.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2013 Bottle in Ardèche, France. Aroma is quite intense, with caramel and nuts malty notes. Fuzzy amber color, with white head. Taste is chesnuts, of course. Not too strong, but definitely there, good balanced. Really good overall.
