from Mondial de la Bière 2010, Strasbourg - translucid bright reddish-amber colour with no foam left; a fair aroma of chestnuts; pretty oily palate and a modest malt backbone, a solid but subtle carbonation, some late tartness and quite sweet; long chestnutty finish - one-dimensional but not unpleasant

rand (1220) - SWITZERLAND - APR 22, 2010

A Mes rate. Bottle at Borefts 10am day after hotel tasting.
Hazy orange with a shortlived white head. Rather boring concoction of vanilla and toffee with an obvious hit of chestnut. Faint chocolate and more nutty stuff in the finish. Nothing special.

Golden-amber. Light chestnut aroma with some fruitness. Very sweet, honeyish character. Chestnut taste with light florals. Fairly good malt character despite the sweetness. However, it is clean and filtered.
