<!-- i -->courtesy of Stéphanie Dürler<!-- /i --> - pours a slightly hazy pale golden colour under a little foam; deep and very pure aroma of honey and almonds, notes of cocoa; rather high carbonation and a decent malt body; the finish is long, nutty and oily, no bitterness - original and pleasant though tending to be cloying if you finish your glass

Dark golden pour with a thin white head and slight lacing. Nougat comes flying from the bottle and fills your nostrils. You can also pick up tobacco, toffee, malt and hops. Very aromatic. All the above come through on taste with the exception of the tobacco. Very tasty and moreish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle… Clear, deeply golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is fantastic as it mainly consists of rich hazelnut nougat. Light-bodied and watery with modest carbonation. Even at room temperature, this beer is not silly sweet; regardless of what any previous ratings have stated. There are loads of hazelnut/almond notes in the flavor, but otherwise it’s pretty much nondescript, but well-balanced. Finishes crisp, thin and nutty with a faint minerally bitterness. Fairly low-gravity and crazy drinkable. If this was available in 12 oz bottles or cans, I would take it with me to the beach on the regular.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on apr´12. Bright golden color. White, brief, head. Intense fruity nougat to the nose, slightly yeasty/bready aroma. All flavors are dominated by nougat with a cloying sweetness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Even for a sweet-toothed the overall is fat, bland & flat. I´ve felt like drinking a Pale Lager with a fudge ice-cream ball inside.

Draft @ Little Delirium.

Appearance: bright honey gold with a short, creamy white head and scattered lace. Aroma: honey, vanilla, cream, caramel, and definitely nougat, with additional nutty (almond) notes. Taste: as the aroma indicated, with the nougat notes appearing most strongly. Finish: smooth, creamy, sweet, and slowly drying. Notes: Before having this beer, I couldn’t remember the specific aroma or taste of nougat, but once I popped the top, all of a sudden I remembered. This is a one-dimensional gimmick beer, but I found it pretty interesting and relatively enjoyable. It’s essentially drinking an alcoholic cream soda. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

Tasted on 3/6/12 from a 750mL swing-top bottle from the Rare Beer Club. Pours clear orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to leave thin lacing behind. The nose is very sweet with tons of nougat, and some peanut aroma as well. The flavor has some sweetness, with the exact same nougat and peanut butter from the nose, with the addition of very light bitterness. The body is light with average, fizzy carbonation, and a long caramel nougat finish.

bottle... quite a unique brew worth trying... this beer is all about the aroma, its fantastic, smells like freshly melted nougat, super sweet, orange cream sicles, can’t get enough of it... the sweetness doesn’t come through as much on the taste and what does is a bit generic, super easy to drink and worth trying because of the aroma
