Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, huge rocky head. Aroma is bit metallic and grainy malt with some belgian yeast esters. When the bad aroma’s have disappeared some decent ginger and orange perfumes arise. Only slightly bitter taste, again the hint of cardboard. Only a faint hint of fruity hop taste. Bit boring.

A golden beer with a big and blond head. The aroma is fruitful, some spices and lemon. Taste is fruitful, pears, low spicyness, quite sweet. The yeast gives more nuancees even that isn’t taste. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Typical blond but also unpersonal.

large rocky frothy offwhite head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. cloudy thick light orange body. aroma: pear, citrus lemon, light hoppy. if and ff: very light sweet moderate acidic; average duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, light astringent alcoholic finish. 20 s

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a golden color and a nice large white head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is fruity with also tones of malts, flowers, a little honey and yeast. The taste is a little bitter and malty, but also a little sweetness is noticable with some tones of alcohol. The finish is dry and medium bitter.

(Bourgogne des Flandres Bière Blonde) Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 6% Nice golden orange colour on the body, mostly clear body, big white head with average retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, sugars, malts, light perfume, apricots. Taste is fruity with apricots, peach, grains, light floral notes, sugar, grass. Medium thin body, carbonation on the high side. Not bad but a bit boring.

It’s a cloudy golden-coloured beer, with a nice fresh aroma if citrus and melon. It’s medium sour, but there’s just not a huge amount of taste happening (citrus, grains). Luckily, there is enough carbonation!

Presented as the blonde counterpart of the old ’versnijbier’ Bourgogne des Flandres but in fact just another cliché ’outdoors café blonde’ in which John Martin’s exploits the age-old name of ’Bourgogne des Flandres’. Boasts a rocky, snow white, coarse head on a lightly misty, golden blonde robe with somewhat greenish hue, milky after adding the deposit. The nose gets some melon, pineapple, soap, bread, vanilla, grass, cloves, straw and sweat. Stereotypical fruity-sweetish onset with citrus hint constructed over pale and some caramelly malts, minerals, light yeastiness and a dryish, grassy finish with mild bitterness that also reveals something phenolic.

0,33L bottle, BB 03.07.15. Pours golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is fresh fruits, apples, and yeast. Taste is sweet, fresh fruits, apples, wheat, and yeast. Body feels light without being watery. Overall: nice brew.
