Sour aroma bit caramel. Ruby red colour thick foam. Easy drinkable. Strange but I feel some champagne in it.

Draft sample at Ale Mary’s in Scranton, PA; hazy darker brown color with light tan head. Aroma notes of berries, some vinegar, lightly vineous and faint caramel sweetness. Taste adds more sour cherries and light roasted malt. Light-medium body, moderate-low carbonation, sticky with fast tart roast finish. More an easy drinking brown sour, pretty nice.

Sweet and dark. Rich and rewarding enough to incite more than the 5% abv. A repeater, but not on the night.

from Monde des Bières - hazy dark brown beer with a moderate beige foam left; aroma of cola and sour berries; medium-bodied, sweet, light earthiness, gentle sourness; notes of sour cherries in the finish, lot of residual sugars

330ml bottle from Saveur-biere.fr. Pours deep brown with soft ivory head. Not entirely won over by this. Quite dry with a very light sourness. Not the best example of the style.

Dark brown with reddish tones, medium head. Aroma of sweet vinegar, sweet yoghurt, raspberry. Taste is about the same. Very cloying sweetness, no bitterness, nearly no sourness, which is strange for the supposed style. Tastes like a diluted raspberry vinegar, you know the cooking aid to look like a real chef when you are not. Thin mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Deserved drain pour. Disgusting. Looking forward to duchesse de bourgogne and rodenbach to get a more definitive opinion on this beer style.

Tasting glass in a beer tasting in Bruges, Belgium. My new favourite beer style. This has not too much winegar acidity, but also not too sweet. Everything is in balance. Be warned, though, the taste does not resemble other beers.

Marrom bastante escuro, espuma bege, de média duração. Aroma licoroso, lembra Biotônico Fontoura, jabuticaba. Paladar levemente ácido, adocicado. Aftertaste um pouco aguado, carbonação flat. Estilo diferente, nunca havia provado. Não é de toda ruim, mas não agradou.

0,75 bottle. Pours dark brown colour with medium off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of white wine, light to moderate malty, light hoppy, grape, vinegar. Flavour is heavy sweet, light acidic, winy, sometimes you forget that you’re drinking a beer. Finish is light sweet, light to moderate acidic, sourmedium long. Body is light to medium, texture is syrupy, lively carbonation.
