Poured a dark copper color. Medium head. Aroma of perfume, coriander. some candy sugar. Taste is medum sweetness and some lite sour at end. Tastes of cherry and rasberry notes. Med body, livelier carbonation, almost champaign-like. Interesting one.

Peppery aroma maybe coriander. Pours a deep rich mahogany brown. Taste is very sweet and cherry-like up front with a mix of sour in the background. As the tasting continues the flavor and carbonation become reminiscent of an Asti such as martini and rossi or Verdi. Interesting.

Bottle shared by emacgee. A lot of hype on this one. Lets see if it lives up. Ruby copper with a off-white lace. Nose is cherry, oak, apple cider, wet cardboard. Flavor reveals cherry skins, some nuts, enchilidas, cardboard, some woody tannins. Lightly acidic finish. Meh.

Pours a clean dark ruby copper with one finger of light tan head. Nose is awful, smells like low quality deli meat and crappy cherries. Tart and kind of astringent flavor, cherry skins in here too. Some kind of meat, bleeeeeehhhh. Not a fan.

Dingy reddish brown pour, with a smattering of carbonation. Wet wood, overripe cherry, and mildly vegetal funk in the nose. Body is more lively than the appearance would suggest. Taste is very problematic (possibly in part because the beer seems to advertise itself as a bruin, and yet is categorized here as a dubbel). At any rate, it veers between cloyingly sweet and unassertive funk thatís past its prime. At best, this is boring.

Bottle, 8C. Brown with a coat of beige head that doesnít hang about. Aroma of cherries, vinegar, stewed prunes, hard spices. Taste has caramel sweetness, gentle sourness, some spices. Nice balance, very quaffable if plain.

Bottle. Clear reddish brown with a creamy off white head. The aroma is fruity, light acidic, yeast and light balsamicco. Sweet malty flavour with lots of caramel and sweet dark fruit.

Taster from bottle at Timmermans. Nice brown, red-tinged body colour. Low, off-white head. Dried fruits and sweet malty nose. Tart and sweet taste of brown sugar and semi-sour berries. Short lived ending. So and so (Toer de Geuze, Itterbeek 01.05.2011).

20110522 11.2 oz bottle from State Line. Well, this wasnít what I was thinking it was going to be, a Flanders sour, and Iím glad to see it wasnít trying to be. More or less flat appearance with just a slight fizzy beige head that quickly fades. Aroma is fruity with notes of date, plum, bubblegum, light toffee, pineapple, and sweet clove. Odd. Actually fairly fizzy on the palate and I canít get past its likeness to a terrible kombucha that just never got around to fermenting. Lots of sweet vanilla and lumber. Manages to be absurdly bad despite not having any particularly off-putting flavors. Drank just enough to log a note, then right down the drain.

33 cl. bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Dark reddish brown colour, large fluffy tan head with some laceing. Aroma of caramel and sour cherries, some smoked notes. Starts sweet, sour middle, but the finish is somewhat disappointing, not long enough.
