Again rb, you got the style wrong. This is no abbey/dubble, but rather a belgian brown, much too light for a dubble. Aged six months in oak. That being said, it is quite nice for a light bodied, fruity & sparkly ale with a touch of belgian oak-aged character. The sweet cherry aroma and flavor was so strong that I was looking for them in the ingredients. Beautiful carmel color and fine belgian lace. Sweet/tart.

A dark red, a head is small and beige. Aroma is quite sweet, cherries and some raspberries. Taste has cherries and raspberries, not so sweetness as in the aroma, some sourness. Medium bodied, slightly sticky. Too sweet and too less of sourness.

Bottle from Alko. Dark brown color, beige head. Bittersweet taste with nuts, caramal, toffee, toast and a bit of oak. Bittersweet finish with toffee, nuts, plum and toast. Decent brew, but not really sour at all, maybe a bit too sweet even.

Mørk brun med et lite rødskjær. Lyst beige skum.

From a supermarket somewhere in Normandy. Pours a dark brown color, topped with a decent and lasting beige head. Mild aroma, a bit fruity with some yeasty notes, slight apple presence. Sweet and quite fruity start. A bit peppery and yeasty presence. Slight burn and mild bitterness. Burning feel in the aftertaste.

Bottle from Carrefour City supermarket, Brugge, Belgium. Hazy dark brown with a thin white head. It has a sharp cherry, spicy dried fruit and sherry flavour followed by slightly thin chocolate, vanilla and soapy sourness on the finish.

Bottle 330ml @ gunnfryd’s hytte
Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grainy, caramel and hint of funk. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long grainy, malty and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. An unclear, amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is rather malty, with cellar, dried fruits, some ripe apples, prunes and raisins. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a nice but high level of carbonation. Dried fruits, some sweetness and a sourish touch in the flavor, some grains and ripe apples too. Long finish on the fruity side. Sure a decent one, but too grainy and sweet for me. 150724
