Belgian redbrown, lightly bitter taste with a sweet edge, without the usual sour aftertaste. All in all a bit flat.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is dark brown to black and has a small cream colored head, with average Co2 level. In the aroma are tones noticable of dark fruits, spices, chocolate and a little red wine. The taste is a sweet to change in a light bitterness from the spices. Also tones of red port and red fruits. The finish is sharp and a little bitter.

It’s got a strange herbal and almost savoury aroma that’s quite off putting. It’s less-so in the flavour where there’s a touch of fruitiness. It’s not particularly tart. Cherry stones in the background.

(Bourgogne des Flandres Biere Brune) Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 5% Dark brown colour on the body, quite clear, with a good sized beige head on top, with average retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of prunes, sugar, light caramel, raisins. Nice sour taste, not very extreme and also cut down a bit with sugar, some wine notes, dark fruits. Medium thin body, good carbonation with a little bite. Very good, especially since I thought it would be a dubbel because of the "bruin" on the bottle.

Bottle. Clear deep red-brown, creamy tan head. Aroma is of cherry and oak, some bready notes also. Flavour is sweet caramel, oak, tart fruits--cherries. Not complex but actually very tasty, I like it.

Dark, brown, almost no carbonization. The aroma is really fruity, could be a wine. The taste is very sweet too, kind of mix of cherries and grapes. The palate is quite ticklish. Sticky and waterish at the same time.

Clear brown, minimal cappuccino head. Hay, cereals and light malts, yeast. Yeasty simple malts with syrup-like sweetness and weird bittersweet ending.
