Bottle: Poured a dark red beer with a huge head with pretty good retention. Oak really hits you when you small this beer. Taste is very refreshing with a hint of sweet cheery which is attributable to the oak. Finish is a bit dry and watery which stop this beer from being as good as the Rodenbach. Still a nice example of the style.

Pours deep burgundy. Tiny tan head. Sweet strawberry toasted nose. Raspberry tart. Smooth. Deep fruity and sweet balanced with decent carbonation and just enough bitter to soak it up. Peppery sugar. Herbal and late earth and lemon. Sweet finish. Excellent.

Sampled from bottle at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#25).
Brown reddish beer with a tall tan head. Berries (cowberry) and a tone of cheese in the aroma. Sweet cherry flavor with a slight underlying sourness. Not very full but tasty.

Bottle at DBF 2004. Nice appearance, ruby, nice head. Aroma is sweet and sour, not so balanced. Very tart and leathery mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Caramel and brown sugar aroma, cloudy burgundy, small toffee head. Quite a bitter taste, and a malty aftertaste. Light bodied, bitter. Good, but didn't fit the style.
