Tap. Pours dark brown with faint off-white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is sour fruit, bread malt, light vanilla, and faint earthy notes. Flavor is malt forward, minimal hops, and heavy sour and sweet esters; crisp, slightly sweet finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Aromas of fruit loops and spree. A touch of bandaid, more fruitiness, and some advil. Ooh, this infected in a bad way. Not happy with it.

Draft at Flying Saucer-Memphis. Pours a mostly clear mahogany-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits, copper, brown sugar, sweet malts, and plums. Flavor of berries, plums, sweet malts, candi sugar, and some sour candy. Mellow sourness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a sweet and only slightly tart mouthfeel.

[11.2 oz bottle] Aroma was slight - some cherry, dried fruit, red wine hints. dark amber brown pour with thin but lasting off-white head. I love the taste of this beer, even though it is not at all representative of flemish sours - really subtle sour long in the finish, but a slightly sweet cherry note throughout. It drinks a bit fizzy and has an almost oily note in the palate. Not a great flemish sour, but an incredibly drinkable beer because of the unique taste.

On tap at Duckworths in Charlotte, served in a small chalice. The beer is a dark amber/red color nearly brown, with brownish highlights. The cream colored head is smallish and fairly tight, and recedes quickly leaving behind small bits of lacing here and there. The smell is fairly sweet and is comprised of cherries, plum, bits of vanilla, and oak. Really almost candy like, with just the smallest hint of tartness. The flavor follows suit with the aroma, fairly sweet with just the slightest bit of tartness. Cherries, plum, the oak is a bit more prominant in the flavor than it is in the aroma. An almost candy like sweetness. Medium bodied, and moderately carbonated. Overall the beer is decent, good but not great. Fairly easy to drink one of; I think it would be tough to get past the sweetness for a second or third pour.

Brown pour ruby hue thin off white head .... aroma is a little funky and berry with a touch of oak ..... taste is sweet and berry like (tastes like a jelly) with a roasted/caramel malt and slightly sour taste .... finishes dry and slightly roasted with some oak .... kind of a disappointment

On tap at burger. in Santa Cruz. Pours a dark clear ruby black with a sudsy tan head. Aroma is faint with light notes of overripe red fruit and dark bread. Flavor is full of sugary cherries, like cherry yogurt, with a sweet malty finish. Lacks the tartness of a good flanders ale. Pretty much just alcoholic soda.
