25 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/amber with a dense light brown head. Mellow caramel malty and slight fruity. Flavour is slight sour and sweet malty. Seems a bit out of balance. Ends mixed sweet and sour, but only mildly sour. Nice though.

Bottle. Pours a red-brown colour. Sweet caramel aroma with some fruitiness. The flavour is a bit sour with caramel and a mild toasted maltiness.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2009 @WSF. Garnet, near-opaque with beige head. Fizzy looks. Some cola, cherry, orange in aromas. Sweet entry. Soft palate, bitter finish, can be sticky. Sweet, woody, and bitterness is in there. Generally too sweet for my taste. However, it does have some redeeming qualities.

Several artifical substances are added to this beer, - it is wise to taste *before* reading any of the ingredients list. Lovely colour, head is nearly snowwhite but the beer is dark brown/reddish - perfect for a christmas table. Aroma is apples and cherries but no sourness whatsoever. You automatically take a large amount of beer into your mouth, which swells up to a promising tarty flavour, but immediately disappears into a void of watery sweetness. I didn’t really have time to taste any shades of fruit, the whole thing feels kind of fake, as if Hasbro was involved in its making.

[Sampled in 2004.] At that time the best biere rouge, which I used for cooking mussels. A great exp., which tasted very good. Notes of vinegar, sweetness, berries, grapes and more. Miss it!

Dark ruby red with creamy white slight browny head. Malty little cherry/vinegar taste & aroma. Thin body. Earhty dry taste. Good lacings. Very mild - biere rouge for starters! Lacks complexity - but drinkable!

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a reddish tint to it. The head was a light off white brown color almost jello in motion and creamy. The aroma was sour fruit and vinegar. Metal acidic taste but there was also that mature oak barrel taste that this beer definetly soaked in.

Bottle - shared with Mette in Louisiana’s garden - after looking at the "Made in China" exhibition. Aroma: Balsamic vinegar, berries. Taste: Vinegar, light bike-glue, light sweetness -> brown sugar. Whit esugar & berries in the finish.

0.33 l bottle. Hazy reddish brown color. Sweet and acidic aroma with licorice and cherry. Sweet and sour flavor with some licorice notes. Somewhat sugary and too sweet but might go well with cheese or dessert.
