Bottle 33 cl. Pours a weird dark color for a beer with this smell and taste. The aroma is sour, with apple and grape elements like itís a a wine or cider. The taste starts out sour but than gets sweet with a silky mouthfeel. Drinkable beer, but I wouldnít buy one again

Bottle. Dark brownish colour with a huge mostly lasting off white head. Rich malty aroma and taste with heavy notes of fruits and caramel. Not much sourness to be detected.

Tap at Cambrinus in Brugge. Very dark color - garnet when held to the light. Lacing light tan head. Near medium body. Very mild carbonation. Itís sour, but itís not. Itís smooth. Aroma has a hint of sour. Itís almost like drinking lightly sour cherry - though kriek itís not. Very refreshing. Cambrinus is pushing this one. Maybe they like it.

Pours a dark red cola color with a small but strong khaki head. Aroma is sweet, musky cherry which is slightly syrupy and artificial. Taste us much weaker on the cherry with light fruity sweetness. Finishes a bit mineral which takes away from the traditional slightly sour Flanders aspect. Its still easy drinking and generally light, a beginners beer for this style.
25cL bottle from Beer Mania, BB 30/05/09, hotel room plastic cup on 5/16/09.

Bottle from Utobeer. Mahogany colour with red edges. Thin head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, berries, cinnamon. Taste fruity, tart, raisins again. Mouthfeel is soft. Nice overall but a little reserved.

Bottle at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. I really though I had rated this a long time ago, and I sure have had it on some occasions, but finally a rating entered. It pours a copper to amber body, hazy, with a beige head. Slightly sourish, vinegarish nose, still sweetish, with dried fruits and malts. The flavor starts with dried fruits and a sourish note, not as sourish as I could wish for, actually itís quite sweet too. The dried fruits, sourness and sweetness goes all the way into the finish. Full-bodied and slightly sticky. Itís a nice beer, still I wish it was more hardcore. (080410)

Hazy, brown hue supported by a snowy white tophead. Cherries aroma. Refreshing drinkability with a flavour of berries, caramel sweetness, yeast and a bittersweet finish. Worth repeating (sampled at BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008).
