Hazy, deep and intens brown with small slight tan head. Fruit, spice, malt and caramel. hmmm.... What to say? Nice carbonation, but this is not a sour ale!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not an exceptional Flemish Brown, but tasty and enjoyable enough. It pours a deep ruby-brown body with a slender, pale brown head which quickly transforms into a halo with some film. The aroma is rich and malty, woody and lightly roasted, with a subtle cherry tartness. More sweet than sour, it tastes of dark, sweet malts with a touch of tart cherries and plums followed by a touch of cold iron, somewhat rusted. Very smooth and quaffable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep chestnut colour with a fine light tan head. Quite malty aroma with quite a bit of fruit in there as well - mainly plums and dark berries. Flavour is slightly more sour though not as sour as some Fl. sour ales tend towards - has an almost metal like touch that I’m not quite sure was intended.
Not my favourite but quite accesible.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
25cl gold-foiled bottle. Ruby-black body, not much froth. Woodily malt-whiskeyish sweetness and blackcurrant fruit in the nose. Sweet, sour, caramel-malty, cherryish. A definite hint of licorice. Far more sweetness than is typical in a Flemish sour ale. But so what? This is still a complex and smoothly drinkable brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Rubyish copper colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is raisins, plum, burnt sugar and caramel malts. Flavour is burnt sugar, slightly metal and hops. Slightly watery, otherwise good brew. It was more supersweet than sour in my opinion.... only in the finish it had some weak sourness to it.

(Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival) Was expecting so much more.. This is a mediocre example of the style.. I’ll stick to Rodenbach.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark red, almost black colored. Little light brown head. Cherries, sourness, sweetness and even some bubble gum in aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is sweet with caramel and some cherries, also sourness comes up. Aftertaste lasts with sour touch.
