On tap at The Mermaid in Tampa. Brief note: oaky, lightly sour. Little mineral, juicy, syrupy. Like a watered down Duchesse. 7.0

10-26-10 on the bottle. Born on? Best by? Either way, this is verifiably "aged." Pours a deep ruby-brown with a fairly tall beige head that settles quickly and doesn’t lace much. Some floaty stuff at the bottom. Nose involves dark cherries, malt vinegar, light oak influence, perhaps some hay. Fairly sweet, light tartness, no bitterness. Light bodied, a bit oily, somewhat grainy, with a dusty briefly tart juicy finish. Not sure this is a fair rate. As is, quenching, easy drinking, not particularly tart though not excessively sweet. Comes across as rather middle of the road and not especially dynamic. Nice to try. Could be nice on a hot day.

Pours dark reddish-brown with a thick, foamy, off-white head. Nose is a sweet kind of candy smell with notes of honey. Taste is sweet and a cherry-like fruitiness comes through. Medium body, lively carbonation. Good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at La Becasse. Lovely bright reddish brown colour, white foam. I sort of wanted to dislike this given it’s another sweetened mass market version of a proper sour. And it certainly isn’t in the same ballpark as a Rodenbach or similar. But it actually wasn’t bad, there’s a maltiness and fruitiness in there, the barest hint of sour and quite sweet.
