Aroma of caramel, cherry, raisins, and vinegar. Very nice dark amber color and clarity- poured a very thin head but left some lacing. Tastes sweeter than I’d imagined, slight oaky notes, low acidity, roasty. Kind of a sherry or Madeira flavor. Palate is semi-thick, with large tangible bubbles. Roasty

Bottle. The look is a beige colored head, brownish red in color, and cleanish. The smell is sweet, tart, wood, candy, toffee, and fruit. The taste is too sweet, very sugary, fruit, and eh.

Brown in color with a decent beige head. Aroma is of funk, brown sugar, cranberry, raspberry, and walnuts. Taste is of sugar cane, candy raisins, light tartness, and a little bit of funk, but very sweet.

Tap at Timmermans during TdG, 2013. It pours deep red with a thick beige head. The nose is brown bread, Christmas pudding, date, raisin and brown sugar. The taste is dark fruit, berry, caramel, cola, light tanginess and some metallic notes with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Unfortunately it’s not that sour. Not a whole lot to it really, but pretty smooth and easy drinking. Ok.

Peppar reagerar man ju på direkt i doften. Lite div frukter. Inte söt direkt men drar åt de hållet. Hade även förväntat mig högre syra. Helt ok. På delirium

This one poured a ruby red color with an off white head. Aroma was straight apple cider vinegar and light vomit notes. Flavor was sugar and vinager and vomit just bad bad stuff.

Sample @ Timmermans during TdG ’13. The pour’s red with a tiny white head. Spicy nose, a bit of cinnamon. Sweet cherry and a bit of umami. The taste is overly sweet and syrupy. Sugary cherry juice and toffee. Only a hint of sourness on the finish. Pretty boring stuff. Not one I’d return to.

Dark caramel color, sour smell that is slightly off from the typical Brett character. Excellent palate, with incredible smooth finish. Light tasting up front that stays even throughout. Good, but lesser option for the style.
